SEO User Experience

Usability simply refers to the quality of the users’ experience with the site. This, of course, translate to higher conversions on the site. Because of this, many companies – big and small – invest in technical SEO to improve their usability states . The following are the most basic issues that you can address in terms of usability:

user experience

1. HTML and CSS – Common CSS issues include problems with alignment, formatting, headings style, links, spaces and paragraph breaks that would look “odd” or “wrong” to the everyday visitor. This can prompt the user to leave the site and get a bad impression early on.
2. Page speed – The quicker a site loads and opens, the more Google loves it. This is a main factor on the search engine results page (SERP), states  Also, users will want to close the site and skip to the next one if you keep them waiting a long time.
3. Flash – Flash is helpful in a lot of ways, but it isn’t often recommended for anybody trying to improve their site or business. First of all, a user may not be aware that his Flash player is not updated, which would not allow him to load the page properly. Flash also decreases the performance of the specific page, and more importantly – it is not compatible with search crawlers.
4. Navigation – If a site is difficult to navigate, users can either lose interest or get tired of it. The simpler and easier the navigation and display, the better.
5. Browser compatibility – Different browsers can display the same website in various ways. A site can look healthy on one browser and look entirely difficult or distasteful in another. So it is important to always run a browser compatibility check for your site.

These are just some of the things that every site owner or administrator needs to keep in mind when applying technical SEO practices. Everything that has been mentioned above may seem like little stuff, but when put together towards one proper campaign, technical SEO can lead towards better results, higher rankings, and increased traffic.
